By using our website or services, you agree to the terms below.

2. What We Do
ChampTutors connects students and parents with qualified tutors for private or / and online tuition.
Once registered, users are referred to as:
- Clients (parents / students those looking for tutors), or
- Tutors (those offering teaching services).
We manage the matching process and help arrange lessons, but we are not a school, tuition center or an employer of tutors.
We do not provide training or coaching for tutors.
Champtutors may update or change its services at any time.
3.Our Responsibility
We do our best to keep information accurate and secure, but we cannot guarantee that everything is error-free. You may use our website at your own risk.
Champtutors is not responsible for any loss, damage or disputes that may occur between tutors and clients.
We may help mediate disagreements but are not legally liable for outcomes.
We are also not responsible for content on external websites linked from ours.
4. Accounts and Security
When signing up, you will provide personal details such as your name, contact info, educational background and any other relevant details required.
You are responsible for keeping your login information private.
If someone uses your account without permission, let us know right away.
Champtutors is not responsible for any losses caused by unauthorised use of your account.
5. Data Privacy and Disclosure Policy
Champtutors respects the privacy of all clients and tutors. We will never sell, rent, or share any personal data stored in our system with external parties without your consent, in full compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and Singapore’s privacy laws.
By using our services, you agree that Champtutors may use or share your information only when necessary for the following purposes:
- To carry out and manage the tuition-matching service you requested
- To verify your identity and contact details
- To communicate with you regarding your lessons, requests, or feedback
- To fulfil legal, regulatory, or compliance requirements
- To cooperate with lawful investigations or requests from government or regulatory bodies
- To support internal operations such as marketing, service improvements, or collaboration with trusted education partners
Any information shared will be handled securely and only for legitimate business or operational purposes related to the services provided by Champtutors.
6. Fair Use and Conduct
All users must act respectfully and avoid any form of discrimination, harassment, or dishonesty.
By using our site, you agree to compensate Champtutors for any loss or damage caused by your misuse of our services or violation of these terms.
7. For Clients
a. Fees and Payments
Using Champtutors is a free-of-charge service for clients.
Our company earns a 50% one-time commission fee from the tutor’s fees for the first two weeks of lessons (or as stated in your invoice). This is regardless of rescheduling of lessons between client and tutor should it happen after the first lesson is completed.
The one-time commission fees will be charged based on the calculation of the number of lessons, rate per hour, duration per lesson and frequency of lessons over 4 weeks, agreed upon between Champtutors and the client.
The commission fees are derived from the first round of tutor’s fees payment. It is only applicable for the first round of 4 weeks of lessons. It is not an additional fee.
For example, if the tutoring fees cost $360 for every 4 weeks of tuition based on $60 per hour for 1.5 hours per lesson, fixed at 1 lesson per week for every 4 weeks, then the client will pay a one-time 50% commission fees of $180 to Champtutors while the remaining $180 goes to the tutor directly. Thereafter, for every subsequent 4 weeks of lessons, the full $360 is paid to the tutor directly.
4 weeks of lessons is not calculated based on a calendar month. It can exceed a calendar month should postponements occur. For example if a 2nd lesson is postponed from the 2nd week of lesson to the following week, then the following week’s lesson will be taken as the 2nd lesson etc.
After the first two weeks of lessons, please pay the total equivalent of two weeks’ fees directly to Champtutors using PayNow or Bank Transfer. This covers our service commission. Do not pay the tutor for those first two weeks only.
Champtutors is not responsible for any accidental payment of commission fees from client to tutor or wrong bank account number.
Client is to pay commission fees directly to Champtutors and fees owed to tutor - directly to the tutor.
After the completion of the first two weeks of lessons from the agreed start date of tuition, the remaining two weeks of payment and all future lesson payments will be made directly from client to the tutor.
We strongly discourage you from “cancelling lessons” so as to help the tutor earn our commission fees by bypassing us after we have done all the administrative work for you. This is dishonest as it enables corrupt practices in the tutor community and it damages the credibility of you as a client and for the tutor involved. The tutoring services community in Singapore is small and such news can easily spread to other tuition agencies.
We strongly encourage you to arrange extra lessons, subjects, or add family members, with us, beforehand rather than with the tutor directly.
Trying to avoid paying our commission is considered fraud and may result in legal action.
Clients who promote cheating or corrupt practices will be blacklisted.
b. Cancelling Lessons / Rescheduling
We strongly encourage clients to give at least 1-2 days notice if you wish to postpone or cancel a first lesson.
Late notice will result in a 50% cancellation charge of the first lesson fee. After the first lesson is completed, any future rescheduling of lessons is between you and the tutor.
If you are not happy with your tutor after tuition begins, you may request a replacement within 4 weeks from the start date of the tuition.
If you discontinue lessons with the tutor, you only need to pay for lessons already completed. In that instance, let us know immediately and do not make any payment to the tutor until we communicate about the details.
If you cancel tuition before the first round of 4 weeks, Champtutors will split the total fees 50-50 with the tutor based on the number of lessons completed. This only applies to the first round of 4 weeks.
If a tutor cancels before the first round of 4 weeks are up, you still need to pay for lessons that have already taken place and to notify us immediately.
After the first round of 4 weeks of lessons are completed, subsequent cancellation / postponement agreements or arrangements are strictly between client and tutor. We strongly encourage both parties to be accommodating and fair to each other.
c. Late Payments
If payment remains outstanding for more than a month past the due date of payment, Champtutors may file a claim with the Small Claims Tribunal and add legal or administrative fees.
d. Tutor Verification
Any tutor caught submitting false credentials will be permanently banned and may face legal consequences.
You may ask to verify a tutor’s qualifications if needed.
Champtutors can provide copies of qualifications if the tutor agrees. However, it is preferred that tutors could present them to the clients in person.
e. Service Quality
Once lessons begin, all completed sessions must be paid for.
You can discontinue tuition anytime but feedback is always appreciated.
Champtutors does not guarantee grade improvements.
Our role is to connect you with tutors who match your tutoring needs and goals. We do not provide any coaching or trainings for tutors.
